On Throats, and tonsils

I am at home waiting for my small boy to sleep so that I can submit to my body's desire for blissful slumber. I have caught the kids' cold (I think) which begins with a sore throat. I'm usually immune to such things, having had those extraneous pieces of flesh called tonsils removed in 1998 after a bout of glandular fever and chronic tonsillitis. The thing is, though, it's only sore down one side????

  1. I often have colds that start with a tickle on one side, followed by runny nose on that side, followed by the other side 'catching up'. I didn't used to be this way so maybe it's a new thing for you; or maybe you should get it checked by the GP for reassurance. :-)
