At the end of our street (there are 8 streets in Bell) is the Bunya Highway, and on this Highway are all of the shops in our small village - a butcher, the tourist information centre which does Devonshire Tea, the Pub, the shop (post office, bank, takeaway, groceries, DVD hire, newsagent) and my own personal lifeline, Cowbelles Patchwork. I have often retreated to Kath's lovely shop when I was in need of adult conversation, getting out of the house, etc.
Kath invited LJto 'help' her in the shop one morning (which Kath assured me was a treat for Kath herself!). This morning, LJ announced that she was Kath and proceeded to give me a cup of coffee and a chocolate (decadent Pink Lady chocolates always accompany Kath's very good coffee - who knew we wouldn't need our coffee machine when we came to Bell?). Kath is a living gem. So is LJ, for that matter.
Browsing the "What's On" section, that looks like a fun shop, even if you don't drink coffee. :-)
