In Winter, the field mice come in from the fields - it's warmer and there's more food (!). This means mice in your ceiling, trying to get in your screen doors, going to bed with the sound of them in your roof and - egad! - breeding in the compost bin!
Needless to say Ratsak was purchased in vast quantities when we went to 'town' this morning (around here, you don't go to the name of the local large town, you go to 'town'). You can even buy it in chew-through bags (yuck) so that you can just throw it into hard to reach places.
Hooray for pest control.
